Oy. We're trying to answer the same question. Turns out there are all kinds of statistics for our area saying that the people who want to find a church want a big busy one with lots of programs and fun activities and hoopla... something a little parish with a 40-person average Sunday attendance just can't offer.

Mumcat

And they want all these programs but don't want to volunteer to work on them personally. about 90% of the work of the church ends up being done by between 10-20% of the parishioners.
